About Me
Â
Hi, I’m Julia Antoine — and like many of you, I once believed my painful, irregular periods were just something I had to live with.

For over 12 years, I’ve worked as a registered nurse, caring for patients in hospitals and offering not just clinical care, but compassion, education, and an unforgettable laugh that often brought a little light to people’s darkest days. But behind the scrubs, I was battling my own health struggles;  heavy periods, sugar cravings, hormonal acne, and a cycle that felt completely unpredictable. Everything shifted when a former partner and I began talking about family planning. That conversation led to a diagnosis I didn’t see coming: PCOS, fibroids, and ovarian cysts.
As a nurse, I expected guidance… but instead, I was given no real answers, no healing plan, no hope but birth control which I kindly declined. I felt embarassed, ashamed for not seeking help sooner — and frustrated that even within the medical system I had served for over a decade, true healing wasn’t offered. But that frustration became my turning point. I started researching, listening to podcasts, reading books, diving into scientific studies, and that’s when I began to truly understand the root causes of hormonal imbalances. Becoming a Women’s Holistic Hormonal Health Practitioner wasn’t just about healing myself — it became the path that allowed me to support and empower other women in my own community to reclaim their health, their cycles, and their confidence.
Coming from a Haitian background, I grew up in a household where menstruation wasn’t openly talked about. I got my first period at the age of 11, with no real guidance on what was happening to my body. I remember my mother simply telling me, “Ou fragile konn yon ze” — “You are fragile like an egg” — a warning to stay away from boys so I wouldn’t “ruin” my life. But there were no conversations about what was normal or not, no guidance on the pain, the clots, or the emotional changes I was experiencing. In our community, there was even a joke that when a woman is on her period, her food turns salty — so she should stay out of the kitchen. That narrative made menstruation feel taboo, dirty, and something to hide. I carried that silence and confusion for almost two decades, believing my symptoms were just part of being a woman — until I learned the truth.
I’m here to tell you: it’s not normal to live with chronic fatigue, heavy bleeding, irregular periods, mood swings  or debilitating cramps. You are not broken. You do not have to suffer in silence. And you absolutely can heal.
My mission is to help you get to the root of your hormonal imbalance — whether you’re trying to regulate your period, lose weight, conceive naturally, or simply feel good in your body again. You deserve to feel informed, empowered, and supported on your journey.
You are not alone and I’m here to walk this healing path with you.
